Life being a College Student

They say college is difficult, college is full of uneasy projects, you will experience late sleep everyday because of assignments and activities, Some got depressed because of to much stress but for me, one of the most interesting stages in life that gives me an opportunity to explore is the college phase. Life at college is the time when the teenage years end and we all dive deep into the ocean of new beginnings and possibilities. This golden period better equips you for all the challenges you’ll face in life and creates a strong foundation of knowledge.

My experience at La consolacion College- Bacolod has taught me one fundamental thing life is unpredictable. It might be good, it might be bad, it might be weird, and it might not interest you, but expect anything to happen. You meet different people, you interact with them, you learn about their cultures and grow as a person. You will understand how to talk to different people, how to judge their behavior, thus helping you with important life skills,
You learn to sit through a boring lecture.

I’m also part of the previous event in our school I am one of the dancer in the festival dance competition held in Robinson place Bacolod.

Another life lesson you will remember the learning never ends. You find campus groups or student groups where you can explore your co-curricular skills along with many other students like you. You share common interests, and thus you share common ideas. Trust me, once you get into a good college, you will enjoy going to school everyday.

The life at college is a time when you can decide your career. It’s a time of dreams and innumerable paths. The point is that you are free to try out these new things and no one is going to forcefully control the decisions you make.

So, remember that there will be moments that carry a lot of sentimental value and you can’t help but miss those years later. The friendships you make in college life is the most important aspect, though it is hard in this stage of life still you can learn a lot of things in the moment you finally experence it.

Truest Friends

Good friends care for each other, close friends understand each other, but TRUE FRIENDS stay forever, beyond words, beyond distance, beyond time.

Many of us have friends in our lives over the years. Some friends we make as children and then lose contact as we grow older. Other friends we make as adults and stay in touch with as long as we are in close proximity to and it is convenient to keep in touch but then over time one moves away or busy schedules slowly pull us apart and we start to lose touch. But then there is that last group of friends those we call true friends they are those we have a mutual caring about, and we understand each other’s hearts, and where bonds are formed between us that span any distance in proximity and where the bonds run so deep that no amount of time apart or lack of words will change the way we feel about that friend. These are our true friends, and when one comes into your life cherish it! As a child our family moved often and so I was constantly making new friends each place we moved. Often the contact was lost with friends in past locations, although my memories of them were treasured. As an adult it is often harder to find the time to form those deep friendships outside your immediate family members because we are all trying to juggle a million balls in the air with work and church and service and community all while trying to give our greatest attention to our own children and spouses where it rightfully belongs. But even during those challenging years there were individuals during that time who came into my life that I consider my truest of friends.

They are individuals who saw me through tough times and who always saw the best in me despite any of my shortcomings. They picked me up at times I was down. They stood by me when I felt alone. They taught me things about life and about myself with patience and understanding. True friends just do that they help us grow and change for the better. They support us in good times and bad. They can make us laugh when all we want to do is cry. And no matter how far apart time and distance may cause us to grow from one another, and even if death takes one of them from this world to the next, we always have the comfort of knowing that these true friends are still there for us, even if only in spirit, cheering us on and wishing us the best, because that is what true friends do for each other. A strong friendship doesn’t need daily conversation, doesn’t always need togetherness as long as the relationship lives in the heart, true friends will never part. When someone is genuinely your true friend they leave an impression on your heart that will never go away, not with time and not with distance.

True friendship is hard to come by. I am a firm believer that no one comes into our lives by accident. However, finding the people that will stay by you through thick and thin isn’t something that happens everyday. Being able to be aware of those friendships that will last a life time and working to nourish them is vital to allowing those relationsips to flourish.

True friends secure a place in your heart forever. I am forever grateful for the true friends in my life, thank you so much for being my true friends.

The Secret of Cauayan

Located on the southern portion of the province, the municipality of Cauayan has a rugged topography. Mt. Malipantao, considered the highest peak in the province, separates the municipality from the town of Candoni and the city of Sipalay. Portion of the ranges are the remaining thick forest that needs protection where the watershed is located. The remaining portions of the municipality are slightly rolling to moderate large areas of flat lands center on the different barrios, which is much suited to agriculture.

Long before the Spaniards came to Negros, this town was a wilderness and primitive people depended on hunting and fishing for a living. The town was covered with bamboo thickets called Kawayan in the local dialect, hence the name “Cauayan”.

During the Spanish era, a seat for the municipal government was sought. Guiljungan, Cauayan and Isio were candidates but Isio prevailed as it was more populated. It got the honor of being the center of government although gobernadorcillos were accorded to Cauayan and Guiljungan.

Not much progress happened to the town at that time since the Spanish rulers were reluctant to educate their subjects. Even when they built schools, only a few privileged were admitted to them. There were no roads and most people were required to render forced labor.

All these changed when the Americans came in 1904. The tribunal in Isio was shifted to Cauayan and this fostered development. The natives were taught modern ways to raise crops, and schoolhouses, roads and bridges were constructed. Not even the Japanese occupation could disrupt the development of the town since then.

When I first came in the municipality I was amaze with the beautiful beaches and the famous Parola, located along the road of cauayan Negros Occidental. Here is some picture of mine when I was there.

You can see how amazing parola is, it is also besT to go there with it is sunset because it is a perfect place to watch sunset because you can see the whole ocean. You can visit there any time, I am inviting you to go there and experience the place of Cauayan Negros Occidental.

The Magic of Siquijor

Used to be known as Island of Fire or Isla del Fuego, Siquijor is enveloped by mystic traditions which the growing tourism industry is capitalizing on. The mystical island of Siquijor is known to have magic potions, shamans, witches and sorcerers and for many Filipinos it is never safe to wander at night

Siquijor is generally safe, so there’s no reason not to go there for an enjoyable stay at one of its several nice resorts. However, use standard safety precautions one would use when in an unfamiliar place, since bad things do occasionally happen.

Siquijor Province is an island about 30 km southeast of Negros, south of Cebu and southwest of Bohol. During the Spanish colonial period in the Philippines, the Spaniards called the island as Isla del Fuego or Island of Fire because the island gave off an eerie glow, which came from the great swarms of fireflies that gathered in the numerous molave tress on the island.

If you are planning for a trip to the island, read this first — my collection of photos and experiences.

Siquijor does not have an airport and no airplane is going there. In order to reach the island, you must take a ferry or a ship from Dumaguete City. It takes an hour for the ferry or two hours for the ship to arrive in Siquijor. You will experience sailing, and if you’re lucky, you can see dolphins along your way.

You will never see a bus like the Ceres Bus Liner waiting outside the port or a coaster that can take you to your resort or anywhere you want to go. But, there are lots of multicabs and tricycles waiting outside that can bring you to the resort safely. Also, if you know how to drive a motorcycle, you can rent a motorcycle for a couple of hours, a day or the length of your stay. Take note, you can explore the island on your own in a day.

Another one is the San Isidro Labrador Church at Lazi which was built on 1884 and was nominated for the UNESCO World Heritage. Across the church is the biggest convent in the country, the Lazi Convent. The convent is made of stones and was declared by the National Historical Institute as a National Historical Landmark. Other equally beautiful old churches you must visit are the Our Lady of Divine Providence Church in the town of Mariawas, which was built in 1880, and the San Agustin Parish Church in San Juan, which was established as a separate parish in 1863.

In spite of having white beaches that surround the island, Siquijor is much less crowded and more peaceful compared to Boracay. The beach resorts are perfect for a day to relax with nature. Some of the resorts like Salagdoong Beach sometimes has a live band, but most resorts keep the serenity of the place which guests love to experience. You can swim, dive, relax and have fun all day without worrying that it will become noisy, crowded and dirty.

One of the best travel memories I ever had is when I visit this place. You also need to experience this I promise that you are going to enjoy. Come and visit the beautiful place of Siquijor.

Importance of travelling with your Family

Family is the most important thing in the world it is having someone to love you unconditionally. One of the best way to be more close as a family is travelling together.

We all know that travelling is the best way to relax and a long lasting memories are the ones you will make while travelling together as a family. Taking time off work and study to connect with your family can improve relationship and build those lasting memories. It help us to be more close to one another it often brings new experiences.

My first travel with my family is in Cebu City, that was the happiest moment in my life not only because of the place but because of the persons I am with. I will never forget that day especially when we go there just to visit the Simala Shrine in Marian Hills, Sibonga Cebu City. It is a good feeling when you attending mass and pray together in church. Me and my family barely see each other because I am far from home, my other siblings are working In far places. That is why everytime there is a family gate away I always make time because it is only happen once in a while and we need to grab it as an opportunity to relax and enjoy with them.

That is me, my uncle Julius, my lola, my Father, my baby niece kurt, my two wonderful siblings Girl and meg, my mama the one who is holding my niece and my mama jean. You can see on their faces the true happiness of being together. One thing I learned on this trip is that nothing is more significant than seeing the people you love wearing their genuine smile.

Once in a while make time with your family because many families barely talk to each other because of a conflict schedules in work and in school. You need to know that miscommunication or having no time for the family is a bad habit and it can cause conflict between each other.

Plan your next family trip, don’t wait for a perfect timing. Take those vacations and other camping trips with your family because the family that travel together stays together. Family is important and the more we travel, the more bonding moments we as a family.
